This program focuses on training health professionals who provide direct services or interact with patients and families who are disadvantaged due to environmental, economic, and/or social circumstances. Please note that the Health Equity: Health Providers Train the Trainer Program is not mandatory training. The training is voluntary only. This statewide initiative invites diverse types of health professionals and healthcare organizations to participate, such as hospital systems, Federally Qualified Health Centers, and Community-Based Organizations. Below is a snapshot of the types of professionals who are being enrolled in the program. In addition, a member of human resources, management, or the executive team may enroll, if they also enroll a clinical team member from their organization.

This Health Equity: Health Providers Train-the-Trainer Program equips participants to go back to their teams, colleagues, and professional organizations and train them with the knowledge and skills needed to support equitable health in the communities they serve.
